7. 22 Years but Not One Moment Extra

When Yosef revealed himself to his brothers in Mitzrayim, his first words were, "Is my father still alive?" And then, "quick, hurry to bring my father here!"

But why were those his first words? He already knew the answer! And it would make more sense to talk on topic first about his brothers. 

And the bigger question, why was it such a rush to bring his father down ASAP? It's already been 22 years, what's the big difference now if it takes another few minutes or even days..?

But what Yosef was really telling them was, after 22 years of my father experiencing such abnormal intense pain of mourning for his favorite son and not being able to be comforted, it's *shocking* that he is still alive! Every extra moment of separation is an ענין of פיקוח נפש! Its not only urgent for him to get the good news, but to *actually* come and see Yosef with his own eyes!

Another reason, Yakovs mourning for Yosef for 22 years was an ״עונש״ for the 22 years that Yakov didn't honor his parents.. But now that the time of the עונש passed, it's wrong to push off the reunion for even one extra split second - לא עכבם אפילו כהרף עין!

After 22 years of painful separation from our dear father, may our Rebbe immediately be reunited with us בגוף גשמי with the complete Geulah NOW!!!
